Documents Required for Formal Registration
  • A copy of the child’s proof of age (e.g., Birth Certificate)
  • A copy of the child’s immunization record
  • Proof of Canadian citizenship, landed immigrant status, or other valid legal status, as applicable
  • Other documents if needed: court order/ruling regarding custody
  • A copy of the final Report Card of the last school year of the child or the most recent Report Card of the current year
  • Two recent photos
What curriculum does CKA use?

Your child deserves the best curricular guidelines and standards. CKA implies the guidelines of Ontario curriculum, and our teaching approach is more student-centered.

What is the student/teacher ratio?

Class size can reflect on the quality of education. We have small class sizes and low student-to-teacher ratios allowing a more personalized attention and student engagement.

How does CKA report to parents?

Reporting to parents is viewed as an essential part of teaching and learning here at CKA. The common procedure for reporting is by telephone conversation.

Why do CKA students need to wear a uniform?

CKA students wear uniforms to have a respectable appearance which promotes better self-respect and self-esteem. Wearing uniform keep students more focused on their education.

How can parents get involved in CKA?

Parents have a crucial role in their children’s education. They can get involved in their children’s day-to-day school life, by supporting them at home with homework and projects.

How do parent-teacher interviews work?

There are 2 scheduled parent-teacher interviews to discuss students’ progress and report cards. Parents who have a tight schedule are always welcome to book an interview.
